Sur offering is a type of offering for the all sentient beings. It is done by burning tsampa (roasted barley flour), three sweets (sugar, honey and molasses) and three whites (butter, milk and curd),  as well as other medicinal herbs and aromatic substances. The aroma produced is then used to offer to all beings, seen and unseen. This practice brings about blessings to the practitioners by increasing their karmic merits and blessing them with good health and success in whatever they do.
